Reissues

Post by InnocentMan »

I have the funds to buy just one of the reissues at this time.
I have all of the original recordings and love them all equally but for unequal reasons.
Now I am turning to you for imput on which one I should spend my hard earned cash on first?
Thoughts?

I just bought the reissues of MAIT, IB and ATUB. Of the ones I already had, AF is really good. My two suggestions to you, and I can't decide - really, would have to be All This Useless Beauty or Armed Forces. :) I know others will have different opinions, but that is mine. :)

Personally I'd go with Armed Forces, just cuz it thought the bonus cd was awesome. Of course I've since lost that bonus disk...but anyway, that would be my choice.
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

Bummer, taz. The bonus disc on that one is as good as the AF cd itself!

Armed Forces has an extended live session from Hollywood High, total enjoyment.

Mighty Like A Rose has some excellent demo's.

Thanks for all your input. It looks like AF is leading the pack so far. The live material would be worth the extra change.

The live version of Accidents Will Happen on that one is to die for. I could hit the repeat on that one all day. :)

It depends where your interest lies. I'd rather have demos and alternate versions than live material, so AF isn't my fave bonus disc...

I mainly love the piano on that one version of Accidents Will Happen, DrJ. It's just so perfect.

Armed Forces.

Then when you get more money, go with Imperial Bedroom and Blood & CHocolate.

I got TYM as a b/day prezzy and was very disappointed with the bonus disc. Much as it's nice to have, I was more impressed with the bottle of Belvedere vodka that came with it. How cool is that for a present - This Year's Model and a bottle of Belvedere?!

Actually, that was the 2nd preference on my CD "Wish List" that I sent my brother...

My PRIMARY is, "Hey Ho! Let's Go: Anthology", by the Ramones.

And he says he's pretty sure he can get it, too!!

But, since everyone in my family (except me) is now a "reformed" alocholic, it's doubtful anyone would be kind enough to send me any booze for my b-day (41 a week from today!!)

:D

Hell, I don't know whether to be happy about the CD set, or sad about the alcohol....

I have to say, I tried to convert someone for three years, and it wasn't until "You Belong to Me" on the AF bonus disc that the boy looked up and said, "You're right, he does rock out." But I don't know if it's my favorite.

I'm going to pretty much repeat what everyone else has been saying, and endorse AF. It's a tough call, but I think the live vresion of "Goon Squad" on the bonus disk may be a little bit better than the regular version.

Live Goon Squad is much better. It's the way I finally made peace with that song.
