i love this song from the first time i heard it and NEVER bore of it...it's GREAT!!! now, with some recent discussion around here as to whether or not EC himself peruses us, i am willing to bet he does as i see the Sligo setlist. It out and out reads "NATIONAL RANSOM No. 5." so, i guess that answers my question if the March shows version was indeed different than the beatbox/Waits/youtube version. next up: a setlist or live release where he writes ATTRACTIONS version alongside NR!!! so it would be:
1) original
2) youtube (beatbox)
3) No. 3 (performed in Far East March)
4) attractions version
5) No. 5 (klaxon version)

The March version was the same as No. 2. Even the stage setlists said so!

hey ANCT! he called it No. 5, not me! this one from SIRIUS i wouldn't give credit as a different version, but, i'll go give it another listen. i still have never heard anything from that March solo tour hence my ignorance to NR No. 2. but, thanks for posting that setlist to see he wrote it that way himself.

I WILL get around to copying my CDs of the Japan shows for you, they're sitting on my desk as we speak. But this should make you realize how you are hobbling yourself by not learning how to grab a torrent. I made all 3 shows available with the help of people who know how to UPload, and even provided my copies to another person who was able to remix them to make them sound even better. You make it sound like I'm holding back these shows. I understand if you want to be Mr. Analog when you record, but I don't know why you pass up the opportunity to get music this easily. If I can learn how to use torrents, anybody can!
