There I was, watching Michael Parkinson ( BBC TV Chatshow host).....

There’s been gossip recently that the great man might retire. He even hinted so in an interview in Radio Times. Jeremy Vine was rumoured to be the anointed successor. Very premature, though Vine is being tried out in a BBC1 interview series with rock stars like Elvis Costello and Sting.
