Each Friday, I post a select group of 5 rock 45's that sold on Ebay recently.

Elvis Costello El Macambo Live EP $450.00

AMONGST the RAREST of all Elvis Costello collectibles, this is the accompanying ep to the AUTHENTIC CANADIAN ELVIS LIVE AT THE el MOCAMBO promo lp. Though the lp itself has been heavily bootlegged and pirated......the ep never was. Originally there was 500 of the lp and 200 of the eps. A long time ago Nick told me that all but a handful of the eps were destroyed.

The disc contains the three encore songs that night done with Nick.. To my knowledge this is not available in any other format. Two of the songs made it on to one of Wes G's SEATTLE pirates of the lp but not ALL 3 SONGS! THIS IS NOT A FAKE OR A PIRATE. This is the AUTHENTIC real deal

Prices seem to be rising. This looks way above the odds. When did it cease to be profitable to publish music and lyrics anyway?

I used to have a tape of this once upon a time. When Elvis played the El Mocombo, it was broadcast on CHUM FM. The promo-only LP didn't have the "Nick Lowe" encore but CHUM FM did broadcast it that night.
