Janice Long show 05 November 2010

Post by John »

This one seems to have slipped under the radar a little.

Elvis singing and talking for about half an hour quite early in the programme. Not listened yet.

Nice interview and great versions of Jimmy, Bullets and Josephine.
Someone recorded it?
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

Thanks for this John

Playing was great and EC in good form. Janice obviously a fan.

Little actually new - apart from the possibility that Spectacle 2 may eventually show this side of the pond.

In fact it was a shame he didn't get more time as he was going off script at the end reminiscing about the early days of Granada Reports/Erics/So it Goes when the curtain came down.

[ and no my CD still hasn't arrived yet]

No problem - this week has been amazing. So much great stuff. Tonight's gonna be special, I think, because Fallon's house band The Roots are playing with EC. Stay tuned...

That was an enjoyable listen. Move Janice to Drive-time. She is obviouly a big fan - even aware of Spectacle. Elvis' accent doesn't half shift around. He sounds very English here, American on the US shows and scouse in Liverpool.

He voice sounds good here too - I think he has sounded a little tired on some of the recent live performances.

John, I agree, obviously the English and American ones are false...
