Competition: Tickets to UK Press Launch of National Ransom

Post by Man out of Time »

There is a "competition" - more of a lottery really, to win a pair of tickets to the press launch of National Ransom at Ronnie Scott's Club in London on Thursday 28 October. It will be a lunchtime show, not clear whether Elvis is solo or not. Presumably with whoever supports him for his other promotional appearances.

Nothing more specific than "lunchtime" which could be anywhere between noon and 3pm. Don't tell me you're thinking of travelling up to see if you can gatecrash the gig?

Has anyone heard of anyone winning? How many were up for grabs? Or was it just a ploy to get addresses for their mailing list? I still live in hope however!!

Dennis Crouch is in London at the moment. I wonder if he'll be appearing with EC?

Come on Elvis - I'm a busy man you know

I'm currently subscribing to the "no news is good news" theory.

Perhaps Elvis felt he would be overshadowed by the Take That tour news

Think you two have seen The Great Escape a few times to many!

I hope you both - plus all other correspondents plainly - get in and Mr Lad takes his lapels with him.

Since there's still no news, Mr Lapels will be absent - I was having to face going to work by6:30 am for 3 hours then traveling to London and then coming back to work again for 3 hours late afternoon but I'm HUGELY disappointed that this competition has treated us like mindless sheep who don't have some sort of working life ( luckily for some of us) outside of Costello fandom !

I've been checking my emails regularly looking for that elusive congratulatory one.

This has been a pretty poor show. If I've won then at least I could go. If I haven't won then it's not exactly difficult to send an email saying so. They were quick enough to send me the email about the National Ransom options.

While I'm on a bit of a rant  I wonder if there will be some sort of "Due to a technical hitch" email which meant the draw couldn't take place bur to make up for it here is an exclusive download.

Or tickets to an exclusive show!
