Elvis also says that more details will be announced soon.

In this interview, Elvis confirms that some songs were recorded recently in Nashville with a combination of the Imposters and the Sugarcanes as some of us boarders speculated here:

Can't wait to hear more about this, hopefully on the next album out in September.

This is great that Elvis is doing this AGAIN. Makes me a bigger fan than I already was. He really is a good guy, and to know that he and others are there for his old buddies like Austin. . . well, that's CLASS. My younger brother is afflicted with Prader-Willi Syndrome and I am his legal guardian. Very insidious disorder. Housing is difficult to come by in these economic times. Good on you Elvis, Nick, and Ry,and thank you Mr. Foyle for the contribution last year to the fund-raiser when my wife ran the Chicago Mararthon to raise money for Prader-Willi-Syndrome (PWS), she raised over $1000 last year for the local chapter and half went to the national PWS foundation!

Had the chance to chat with Austin after he supported Bill Kirchen last night. He did a great job at the show (more posted on Bill K thread)

Mentioned that we'd been happy to support prior PWS shows and were hoping to return this year. Also slipped in what EC had said, while Austin did NOT confirm anything, he did say "what we have in the works is very exciting and he's hoping to get it ironed out soon."

I also mentioned that we usually see Allen Toussaint playing that same piano at Joe's and he said what a great gentelman he is. Also that they have tried to work something out for SF in the past and still hoped to

So not much new here, but sounds promising

C'mon jmm, I need answers and I need them NOW! Just kidding! I'm dying to know if it's happening as suggested above and who the other artist would be. I made it to the 2007 benefit (the Clover show) and it was great.

So who might the other artist be? Let's see some wild speculation, folks!

Hit me last night - total speculation / wishful thinking but how about Richard Thompson

Follow up to past exchanges, Spectacle, Meltdown - both have been at Hardly Strictly in the past

If that's it, I'm gonna do my best to be there

This interview reveals that the other songwriter is: Nick Lowe.

"It's a shame that we have not agreed, we talked a lot lately, in fact we plan a 'show' together in San Francisco in September: it is a show of charity that promotes a mutual friend. Each will perform songs from the other, and we'll try some duets, we have never done before. "

Nick is doing his own show in Mill Valley October 2. I have no idea whether EC will make an appearance.

I'll be at the early show too. Having a drink at the nearby Amsterdam Cafe at 6 if anyone wants to stop by. I'll have a bright orange Elvis button on :).

I'll try to drop by -- but it's an outside chance.
I've got parental-related activities until 7 or so.

I'll look for you at the show, regardless.
