I can post a FLAC version if there's interest, but it'll be from the same lossy source. (Despite being lossy, it's the best-sounding Sugarcanes show since Austin City Limits.)
Thank you very much!
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

Could someone please post this on Dime? I have 4 tracks from Mediafire - they're great - but that's as far as I got before the virus from hell attacked my PC. Me and MF are no longer on speaking terms.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, I've got some more good stuff in the pipeline, including the 1999 Brookville EC/SN show at C.W. Post. Stay tuned.

On the http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=11269197 ... rthseajazz page on the right hand side of the play bar (the left hand side has the volume and play/pause button) is a down 'arrow'. When I click on this I get the following options:

About Flip4Mac WMV web plug in...
Save as source...
Save as Quick Time Movie...
Plug In Settings...

Saving as source just generates a .asf file, however saving as Quick Time Movie saves the whole show as, presumably, a .AVI file. This I can play on the Mac and have just opened in Amadeus Pro to inspect it; it is the whole 75 minute broadcast.
I don't know if what follows has been reported previously, if so apologies for repeating.

While I know there is an excellent copy of the Toronto Massey Hall radio broadcast out there I have just discovered that you can use the above approach if you have a Mac to save the Elvis & The Sugarcanes "Concert On Demand" at CBC Radio 2. Doing so gives you the bonus of the not broadcast "Happy" as well as the complete "Mystery Train". Full show is at:

http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/codPlayer. ... l%20Tracks

Total size of AVI file for the complete concert is 55.5MB so the show is about half the quality of the North Sea Jazz Festival web concert.

If you just want Happy it is here:

http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/codPlayer. ... Hall|Happy

and Mystery Train is here:

http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/codPlayer. ... ry%20Train

Here's a zip folder of mp3s of just the songs I made from these flacs.

Jerry Douglas has posted his diary from the Sugarcanes' tour of Europe on his website here: http://www.jerrydouglas.com/journalDeta ... journal=72. Here is what he had to say about Rotterdam and North Sea Jazz:
"July 11 Rotterdam was one of those times when you ride into a venue where there are about twenty stages. You play one of them, and then leave. I suppose I should be more excited about this, but we are outside of town in a warehouse district especially built for the North Sea Jazz Festival and I just cannot say enough about how droll this looks. How about a fake palm tree or something?
Anyway, about 10,000 people were suddenly in the room and we played our show to a very enthusiastic audience. There must be some trees or grass out there somewhere. Probably grass.

Instantly transported to the hotel and in my room, I had a nice dinner from room service and watched the World Cup final between Netherlands and Spain. Soccer, or football, as it is referred to here, has been dominating the airwaves since we have been over here, and since I am in the Netherlands, I must be careful not to mention I am for Spain in this contest. After all, I will be there soon and be spending a fair amount of time with them. Right now, though everyone is dressed completely in orange and filling the pubs in rowdy fashion.
OK, Spain wins, I'm happy! Now we can go to Montreux where we will hook back up with Diana and band. There is a rumor an onstage collaboration may occur. Diana has something up her sleeve. I've been having a great time on the gigs we have shared so far, and have made the acquaintance of Robert Hurst, Diana's bassist, who turns out to be a classmate of Edgar Meyer's from University of Indiana where they were both students of the late Stuart Sankey. Small world again!"
