There is a Father Christmas!

My joy is unconfined.

[ in coming to this state of bliss I am assuming that EC/his management regard England or at least the Peoples Republic of Liverpool as being in "Europe"]

Lauderdale shines in 2009, but even bigger things in store for coming year

By Ryan Snyder

....he foresees another highly prolific year in which he again collaborates with Costello, but also will release an album co-written by former Grateful Dead songwriter Robert Hunter. Entitled Patchwork River, it’s an electric album featuring Al Perkins, Ron Tutt and former Elvis Presley guitarist James Burton, a regular collaborator. Lauderdale is still shopping for a label, however, and expects an April release.

Is he so popular in Italy and Spain or is he just following the missus? :)

They're playing Vienna, Rotterdam, Montreux, and Corsica on the same day, Copenhagen within a day of each other. Sounds like a family tour bus vacation.

Yeah, luckily for me, there are a few dates in Spain on this tour. Corsica however is not one of them! Governed by France, Corsica is famed as the birthplace of Napoléon Bonaparte. First time he’s gigged there I think. Elvis that is, not Napoleon. Diana's website lists Corsica as Italy!

Most intriguing Spanish date on the tour has got to be Sos del Rey Catolico.Population of just over 600..

Mike Compton has no longer a concert date in Naples (IT) on July 17: http://mikecompton.net/calendar.php
Could this be cancelled?
