Healing the Divide concert in NYC (Waits, EC, DK, and DL)

Just got back from the Healing the Divide concert at Avery Fisher Hall.
Great
show! Quite
a diverse lineup of performers who were all well worth seeing. EC and
DK arrived
about
half an hour after the show started, during Anoushka Shankar's set, and
sat
about 10
rows in front of me. Even though we expected them to be there, it was
still a
surprise to
see them--I had an aisle seat and they walked right past me.
The Dalai Lama and Tom Waits were the highlights of the evening--never
thought
I'd be
writing those 2 names in the same sentence! The DL spoke for about 10
minutes,
half in
English and half in Tibetan with an interpreter.
Most of the performers played just one number, but we were fortunate
enough to have
Waits for
45 minutes. He played 8 songs with the Kronos Quartet and came back for
a 1-song
encore on the piano. Was anyone else there who is more familiar with
his music
than I
am? I'm not sure of a couple of the song titles, but I'll take a stab
at the set list anyway--
