A corner of Malmö that is forever Elvis

Post by johnfoyle »

During my trip to Denmark last week I took the train over the Øresund Bridge, which spans the Øresund Sea from Copenhagen to Malmö and spent a morning in Sweden's third largest city. In bright sunshine I barely got a flavour of the place - I look forward to going back.

I did check out some music stores and was delighted to spot this -

It was in this store -

Randomly grabbing some discs, I bought Sven-Bertil Taube 1961 disc of Nils Ferlin songs ( really poetry set to music ) and Jeanette Lindström's Whistling Away the Dark . Both make agreeable listening , particularly Jeanette's reading of Nature Boy , done with just voice and double bass (Palle Danielsson) .
