Vote for Elvis - Annoying/Not Annoying ?

Post by johnfoyle »

Exceptionally silly site - so I love it.
----------------------------------------------------
see

-------------------------------------------------------
(extract below)

Elvis Costello

The Resume
----------
Formed Elvis Costello and the Attractions
Recorded 'Watching the Detectives,' 'Alison,'
'Shipbuilding,' 'Pump it Up,' 'Oliver's Army,'
'Accidents Will Happen,' 'What's So Funny About
Peace,' 'Love and Understanding?,' 'High Fidelity,'
'Everyday I Write the Book,' 'and Veronica'

Why he might be annoying
------------------------

His lyrics are pessimistic.
He experimented with drugs.
He looks too geeky to be a rock star.
He is a vegetarian.

Why he might not be annoying
-----------------------------

He is well respected in the music industry, both by
fellow musicians and critics.
He participated in one of the most memorable moments
in Saturday Night Live history when he stopped
mid-song and began playing another.
He constantly reinvents himself.

Highly addictive!

Also revealing of the still somewhat rightward slant of the Internet -- the UN gets over 70% annoying rate. Lots of neocons and "black helicopters" folks floating around cyberspace, I suppose.
