What's the worst thing that Elvis could do

I know there are times when EC has tried his most ardent fan's patience, whether it be She, The Juliet Letters, North etc etc. But what is the one thing which would make you disown him forever? For me it would be either a photo shoot in Hello magazine. "At home with Elvis, Diana and the twins." Or An Audience with Elvis Costello "A star-studded audience with completely spontaneous questions."

Any other ideas? Happy New Year by the way!

Well, For The Stars and that, without meaning to be homophobic, Elton kiss would certainly sort the men from the boys. I suppose if he were to trick himself to to one of those ghastly Pop Idol shows I'd come close to disowning him. My Zen Creative packed it in over Christmas so I have been feverishly loading up my new Zen Vision over the last few days. Scanning the Elvis cd shelf the only album I felt up to ripping was North which, like fine wine, gets better with age, if that's any indicator of how I feel about Elvis these days.

It would have to be the Elvis 'n' Diana Christmas Album.

Failing that, Elvis replaces The Imposters with Keane as his backing band

Elvis wouldn't be able to only write a song about it - it would have to be an album at least.

I think anything E.C. creates is genius, but the next time he wants to arrange a Latin tinged piece, I highly recommend he hire Eddie Palmieri (piano) and Brian Lynch (brass/horn). They represent the true Latin/nuyorican/afro-cuban sound.

I have been listening to my flame burns blue, and as a Latin Jazz fan, I would recommend more piano and less horns on the intro to Clubland.

This is just one person's opinion, of course. I am not a singer/songwriter/arranger/poet, but merely a slacker who was born in America (surnames: Jackson/Regan).

As it goes today, I'll either die in a fiery pit of revolutionary changes, (not likely) or over-cosume various substances (more likely).

And so be it - To 07 and beyond! May we all find justice and peace in 01010101... (as long as we hire the right lawyers!)
