I don't have them yet, but from the list it would appear that there are a couple of Ryko bonus tracks from these albums that might not be on the Rhino re-issues:
The "Girls Talk" on the Rhino Get Happy!! is listed as an alternate take. Of course the one from the Ryko GH is also on Taking Liberties and TBMATHYF.
"So Young" seems to have been omitted from the Rhino album, and I don't recall it being on any of the others. Of course it's also on Out of Our Idiot.
The only thing Rhino left off of Trust is "Seconds of Plasure," but that's on their edition Punch the Clock instead.
And from Punch the Clock, there's the live "Merseybeat" version of "Everyday I Write The Book," which seems to have been deleted by Rhino in favour of a demo version instead.
Can anyone confirm?

Both versions of "Girls Talk" are on GH-- the "original" and a new, alternate take.
"So Young" is on there, too.
The "Seconds of Pleasure" that was on the Ryko TRUST is actually now on the Rhino IMPERIAL BEDROOM reissue. The version that was on the Ryko IB reissue is now relocated to the Rhino PUNCH THE CLOCK (apparently this is the correct "chronological" sequencing.)
Really, the only thing missing from the new reissues is that the RYKO punch the clock had live early versions of Everyday I Write the Book and The World and His Wife, and those have been replaced with early studio versions that turned up. The point was just to show how the songs changed from their earliest versions, and all they could find for the Ryko edition was the live renditions.
So, to sum up:
GET HAPPY is the same as Ryko plus more.
TRUST is the same as Ryko except Seconds of Pleasure which is on the new IMPERIAL BEDROOM, plus more.
And PUNCH THE CLOCK substitutes 2 studio tracks for the Ryko's live tracks, plus more.
All in all, the Rhinos are a great improvement, IMHO.

The same topic has just come up on Costello-llistserv , here`s a response-
>Has anyone made a list yet of any tracks that may
>have been released on the Ryko editions that
>haven't been carried over to the Rhino
>re-remasters? If so, I'd like to have a copy of it.
"Forgive Her Anything," "A Town Called Big Nothing," and "Return to Big
Nothing" on the Ryko BLOOD & CHOCOLATE have not been carried over to
the Rhino version. "Forgive Her Anything" is replaced by an alternate
version on the Rhino. The two "Big Nothing" tracks have yet to appear
anywhere on a Rhino CD.
The live versions of "Everyday I Write the Book" and "The World and His
Wife" on the Ryko PUNCH THE CLOCK have been replaced by similar studio
recordings on the Rhino bonus disc.
That's it in terms of unique recordings, although there are a couple of
other minor variations, most notably that the Rhino MY AIM IS TRUE uses
the original mix of "Radio Sweetheart," while the Ryko used the TAKING
LIBERTIES/TEN BLOODY MARYS remix. If you want to get really obsessive,
there's a very brief snippet of "Pump It Up" that can be heard at the
end of the live "Watching the Detectives" on the Ryko ARMED FORCES
that's missing from the Rhino.
Also, the "Seconds of Pleasure" on the Ryko TRUST is now on the Rhino
IMPERIAL BEDROOM, while the alternate version of that same song on the
Ryko IMPERIAL BEDROOM is now on the Rhino PUNCH THE CLOCK. So both
versions remain available but on different albums than before.

...and this explains why I have multiple versions of the same CD in my collection.
Am I likely to listen to the Ryko version of PTC because of the two live versions rather than the Rhino 2 CD set. Well, yes,at some stage I know I will.
I am going off to bang my head against the wall and question my sanity...

I seem to remember Elvis saying that some stuff (he cited A Town Called Big Nothing as an example) wouldn't be reissued on Rhino... something along the lines of that it wasn't good enough. And he says on the Rhino B&C, that Forgive Her Anything "replaces" the old version because he thinks it's better, so I doubt the old one will show up.

El Mocambo wasn't mentioned when the list was discussed in an interview with the Rhino exec. overseeing the project. I've been wondering also if they plan to issue an expanded Costello-Nieve album; there's certainly enough unreleased material, since all the shows on that tour were recorded.

What I love about the latest reissues is the fact that the disappointment experienced by not having any alternative versions of either Possession or Secondary Modern on the GH!! bonus is then cast aside when you get onto the PTC bonus and find spanking live versions of both there. I love ther TKO horns on the former. Recorded 20 years ago last Sunday. Anyone there? Noise aged 9 or 10?
