Sad news board friends.

I didn't get to record my Elvis Tribute song today. :(

Something about the kitchen sink exploding.

But they said I could come over sometime this week! :)

That's good, I need more practice anyway. :P
Loving this board since before When I Was Cruel.

Oliver's Army has studio time scheduled for late August. Should have something for you soon after that.

Well I'm glad it's not just me who's behind schedule. This weekend is a bank holiday here so I'll spend a day working one up with fjp. We may or may not wrap it up in a day. We might get in a real drummer. I'm beginning to worry that the version of Uncomplicated that's in my head might not be readily reproducible. I'm considering a change, maybe "Black Sails in the Sunset", maybe not, maybe "Pidgin English", maybe not. I'll let you know...

Okay everybody...I know everybody's still working on their songs, but we now have an FTP available for you to upload songs to when completed. You should be able to save them to the "Incoming" folder and they will be compiled by BlueChair.

Just type in or go to:

ftp://ftp.elviscostellofans.com
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

It'd be nice if this happened soon...

Let's say all recordings should be submitted by September 31st, 2003. That gives people plenty of time, so I hope everyone will have theirs in by then.

This was something that I would have liked to have finished by now, but I'm just as guilty as anyone else, having not recorded my contributions.

Cool! And I'll be able to find some time this weekend (T.G.I.F.!!) to actually do some more work on the graphics...have to re-design part of the layout (due to the amount of text now being included) but should be able to get a few more things done...

I'm going to submit three songs if that's okay, and Blue, you can pick whatever you like the most.

1. You Tripped At Every Step
2. Beyond Belief
3. The Other End of the Telescope

Forgive me if it's been decided...I took a long hiatus from this site. Are we supposed to contribute anything to the liner notes?

Thanks!

I hope everybody is busy working on their selections. A reminder that all recordings should be up on taz's FTP by midnight on September 30, 2003

Ok, newbie here.....

I love that you guys are doing this and would love to help, but am woefully not gifted in the musical department, unless in involves picking a musician to listen to...so can't help there.

Would love to help, though. I noticed on bitchin' graphics that there was a spelling error in lacklustre's notes, singwriting.....supposta be songwriting?

So, there's my gift, I can help spot boo boos in the graphics? I'm wonderful and planning and scheduling and pushing pieces of paper from one side of a desk to another and bossing people around, so if I can help do something, like anything, please tell me!!

I would also love a copy of this when it is done!!

I was thinking that the title Almost True is darn close to Almost You, which was done already....I came up with Keep Your Day Job.....it is for him in that he should keep his so that we get more music and it is a slight on ourselves that we should keep ours? I was tryin to be punny,,,,so if it sucks....you can tell me.

I hope I can help, though I feel I might just be a big bucket of useless here....

I like Keep Your Day Job better than Almost True. And I agree that Almost True is too close to Almost You. I hadn't thought about it until just now.
