The days since my travels in England( in which I got a
TDM promo) have been just a
blur. Work/tv/movie ( Motorcyle Diaries - excellent,
subtle acting , beautiful visuals etc - catch it ),
another uncle dies so Martin reluctantly puts on a tie
'n suit and heads of ( I buried another uncle two
weeks ago - its been that kind of summer - however in
a kind of balancing measure my sister had a baby so it
hasn't been all grief) to Youghal , Co.Cork ....so
even
more work for me.

The Delivery Man is on repeat play all
week. Its soooo good. I keep hearing new bits every
time. I`m at the stage where all the aural elements
are in my head - now I have to print of the lyrics and
get to know what he is actually singing about. Much as
I loved North , the loud 'n nasty Elvis was what I
originally signed up for so it's good to get a fresh
batch of something he does so well. Right
now - 9.45 PM - John Kelly's Mystery Train radio show
( on Irish radio , the show Elvis used regularly guest
co-host) is playing
'Detectives of the re-issue of the `best of...and the
song is finished and he's talking about the new
albums...which he says he has heard 'some of' and
will play as soon as he can. And now he's playing 'Big
Nothing' by The MacManus Gang ( Elvis 'n his Da and
co.) from The Straight To Hell re-issue. Yes, shock ,
horror , two Costello songs in a row on Irish radio!

*wiping drool from chin*

Dang I need this record... I got the new Bjork yesterday, and it's really pretty and contemplative and crazy, but it's a winter record somehow, fit for snow piling up against windows and such, and right now what I need is a raucus catharsis. Hope I'm gonna get it...

I'm waiting, but if he releases a single I'll download that.

Glad to hear it's another 'rowdy rhythm' album - my current musical kick is loud'n'stompy, so it should fit right in.

"Monkey To Man" and "Bedlam" are nothing short of perfect.

"Bedlam", in my mind, is a cross between Glitter Gulch and Episode Of Blonde. Perfection!

"Monkey To Man" has the single greatest fade out ending in history.

Tracks 3-7 are the best sequence of EC songs I have ever heard.

Okay, we know you have the album early man. Can't you just wait and post your remarks when everyone has it?

Don't get attitudinative with me. I can say what I want to. Sod off if you don't like it don't read my posts. So what if people don't want to hear about the album yet? What a joker.

Well your post confirms that you're a self-centered jerk. I've read your posts and what I see is someone constantly trying hard to gain acceptance from a bunch of people who'd want nothing to do with you in real life.

You're just a spoiled child who thinks they are a cut above everyone else. I hate to break it to you but you're no better than anyone on this board. Just because you have the album earlier than everyone else does not give you the right to spoil it for everyone. If that's your mission, at least do the respectable thing and label your posts with a spoiler warning.

And if I'm the joker, you're most definitely the joke.

 I'll ignore your above post, because it wasn't to me.

Anyway, I will not save my remarks. If I like the album, I will post about it. I have been respectful enough to keep my remarks in this thread, or a thread designated purely to the song I was commented on ("...Story In Your Voice").

Save your attitude.
