Looking for some McCartney/MacManus tracks

Post by Branst »

Do these exist? If some are, are they available? These are ones I am missing:

Back On My Feet (Demo; With or Without Paul)
That Day Is Done (Demo; With or Without Paul)
Veronica (Demo with Paul)
Veronica (Flowers In The Dirt version, I read somewhere this might exist?)
Mistress And Maid (Demo with Paul)
Pads, Paws and Claws (Demo with Paul)
Shallow Grave (Demo)

I don't think any of these exist outside of Paul and Elvis' private collections.

No, Coffee Table, these are available.

I deleted them, I'll redownload them and send them to you VIA Aol Instant Messenger. Is that okay?

Are you sure you're not thinking of the long available demos for "The Lovers That Never Were," "Twenty-Five Fingers," "Tommy's Coming Home," "So Like Candy," "You Want Her Too," "Playboy to a Man," "Don't Be Careless Love," and "My Brave Face"?

Hey stormwarning, is there any chance you could upload the acoustic demos you have with EC and Paul to your xdrive? The ones I have are in really bad quality.

I have some EC shows I could possibly upload to the xdrive or something if anyone is interested and if I'm allowed.

Branst - I've uploaded the Macca/MacManus tracks that haven't been officially released, but I guess they're the same quality as yours. If I had the real CD I'd use bit torrent, but unfortunately I only have mp3's.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for uploading some. "So Like Candy" and "The Lovers That Never Were" demos were upgrades from what I had but the others were pretty much the same. I wonder if the sound on the actual CD is that much better since demos aren't usually good quality in the first place.

On the new elviscostello.com, there's a reference to the unreleased McCartney/MacManus song "Twenty Fine Fingers." At first I thought this was an amusing typo for "Twenty-Five Fingers," but then I gave the song another listen.

It sounds to me like they are actually singing "fine" rather than "five"! And I think the lyrics make more sense if there are 20 fingers rather than 25.

Anyone agree? Or should I get my hearing checked?
