Don't forget that when Ryanair say Glasgow, they really mean Prestwick, which is 30 miles away!

Anyway, what's the story with the 6pm start?
Do they really mean about 8.45 as usual?

I know - I saw Elvis in Glasgow last October. Prestwick was/is well serviced by a train , 40 minutes or so into the town centre.

You can fly direct to Glasgow airport, the one that's in Paisley and not in Prestwick! OK, it's still not Glasgow, but it's a hell of a lot closer than Abbotsinch!

But Glasgow Airport used to be called Abbotsinch! Anyway, less of the Scottish Airports pedantry...

Somehow I think an overnighter in a sleeping bag outside the ticket office will not be required. Turning up on the night should be just fine!

I think there will definitely be more UK gigs! Im going to go to Lpool or Manc if there's one there this time....he says, with absolutely no idea what his financial situation or work commitments will be like in 2 months time. Ah, Elvis et al...what passion you inspire sir!

I just hope the great man has the balls to "retire" the bulk of the greatest hits portion of his set this time around. I could live without hearing "Detectives" or "Chelsea" live for the nth time.

He's made so many brilliant and innovative records over the years and written so many wonderful songs that I would be delighted to hear some different old stuff mixed in with the new songs.

"Peace, Love and Understanding" gets an exemption of course.

Just announced: ELVIS COSTELLO AND THE IMPOSTERS

Glasgow Barrowlands - Wednesday 6th October

Premier of his new album 'The Deliveryman' out Sept 20th on Mercury records

'Only world show'...is that the name of the tour, or is it the only world show?

Bloody stag weekends is all I can say!

I was on a stag weekend last weekend, I'm in Barcelona on another one this weekend, I'm in Amsterdam for another one in September and I'm on one on 16th October.

Elvis - please announce some more dates.

I'm with LC - I'll try and get to as many as possible. Except Glasgow. Bah!

That took a while John...seeing as you ordered it the same date as me (going by this thread).
I did it on the blower, so maybe that's why I got mine a few weeks back. Weird.

Maybe it's a play on words, 'Only World' rhymes with 'Lonely World' the title of his Painted From Memory tour with Steve Nieve.
