Aren't these posts fun? We could go on forever. Where is my number 14? Who else voted for my number 12? What finished joint 99th? Didn't I vote for that too? How come it's joint last?

ps Who else voted for Secondary Modern because it's not joint last? :)

And another big thanks to Blue Chair for doing this....

And yet I'm another person who never quite figured out why "Beyond Belief" is such a huge fan favorite (even my friend who basically dropped EC with Imperial Bedroom loves that song!)

This is Laughing Crow's list:

Indoor Fireworks
Blue Chair
Beyond Belief
Blame It On Cain
Brilliant Mistake
Human Hands
I Want You
How To Be Dumb
King Of Thieves
Love Field
My Mood Swings
New Amsterdam
Oliver's Army
Riot Act
This Town

Oh so it really was only 42 of us who voted - whenever I hear that number I think it's a Douglas Adams gag! Not quite a scientific sample then, but great fun nonetheless...

AH HA! this proves my anti-clubland conspiracy theory. what happened to cbartal's clubland vote hmmmmm?

and i'm confused. bluechair is getting all the props and so lacklustre appears to have done all the math (which proves he is a geek, not poser after all). unless they are the same person  . another conspiracy (or i missed something again). lack chair lustre so blue. i mean, baby plays around is on the list...
I'm not concerned about the very poor.

Having joined this list only recently I did not vote, and forgive me I haven't had time to read all 4 screens of the "I'm shocked that X didn't make it..." .....but has anyone said:

I'm shocked that SULKY GIRL didn't make the list? :?:

That's MY favorite EC song.

Well, in wehit's defense, it would be a little weird to be clothed in the shower. If anyone has watched "Arrested Development" on Fox and encountered David Cross's "never-nude" character, Dr. Tobias Funke you've seen an all to frightening represenation.

On the other hand, it's interesting that he felt the need to make special mention of his nakedity. I'll let the psychologically astute types among you speculate on that one. Also on the idea that being naked is "very elvis." It's more "very Red Hot Chili Peppers" or maybe "very Jonathan Richman" but not so much EC, who's never even done the shirtless rock star thing, thanks be to Jehovah.

As a Southern Californian, I don't really really consider wearing short sleeves or short pants in any way "naked. But, somehow, EC does look a bit naked there, doesn't he, somehow. Like a plucked chicken. Shorts would be weirder, still. I guess it's just the novelty. Like my long-time bespectacled friend who recently swithed to contacts. It's been months and it still doesn't seem quite right to me.

What appalls me is the word "nakedity." Bobster, everyone knows it's nakeditude.

And just what the hell does this mean?
nudity is a very elvis thing to be.
Can I get a diagram on that one?

I do not, can not and will not imagine EC in anything but a suit and tie.

Heck, I don't even know when I've seen him with his jacket off!
(Except for the KOA cover.)
I'm not angry anymore....

Actually, I just thought of one.
There's that photo of "country" Elvis where he's got on a bolo tie and his jacket is slung over his shoulder.

So, he doesn't have scales under those all those long sleeves, after all. Has anyone ever seen him on stage in short sleeves? I can't contemplate short pants.

pip, thanks for the picture. Two pair of dark glasses and a duck. I know I never leave home without 'em!
