Elvis and The Imposters, with Charlie Sexton finish the "Hello Again" tour of the USA on Sunday November 14 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, CA.

Apart from a false positive Covid test, which meant Steve missed the first night at Port Chester, and whatever ailed Charlie in Phoenix, the tour appears to have gone smoothly.

Clearly it was bad luck that the UK tour in 2020 ended permaturely after a show at the Hammersmith Odeon on Friday 13th March. As an encore that night, Elvis and the band played "Hurry Down Doomsday (The Bugs Are Taking Over)".

What followed was an enforced break from touring, with occasional appearances via videolink from home in Vancouver. But as we know, Elvis kept writing and the band kept recording. This US tour has seen first live band performances for five songs from Hey Clockface and eight (eight!!) songs from the forthcoming album "The Boy Named If", plus the Japanese release bonus track "Truth Drug".

Ticket sales in some venues may not have always matched expectations, but that may be more to do with public health concerns than about Elvis' appeal or popularity. The few reviews that have appeared have been positive.

I hope the tour finale proves as good as the shows that have preceded it.
