Alfonso Villalonga and the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa play Costello classics

Post by Man out of Time »

Alfonso Villalonga is a Spanish multi-instrumentalist, who it appears like to perform Elvis' songs. He appeared with a string quartet from the Bilbao Orkest Sinfonikao (Symphony Orchestra) on February 8, 2016 for a programme that promised:

"NOCHE DE CABARET EN CARNAVAL
Alfonso Vilallonga con cuarteto de la BOS
Temas de Vilallonga junto a clásicos de Elvis Costello y de la chanson francesa y americana.
Alfonso de Villalonga, piano, guitarra, ukelélé y voz
Cuarteto de cuerda BOS"

Or in translation - "Vilallonga themes along with classics by Elvis Costello and the French and American songbooks." This show was also previewed in El Correo (Spanish newspaper) here:

He seems to have given something like the same show on April 8, 2017 with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, string quartet at the Miguel Delibes Cultural Centre, in Valladolid _

What I cannot discover, is exactly which of Elvis' "Classics" Alfonso actually performs. He is handy with the mandolin, which might suggest either "The Scarlet Tide" or "A Slow Drag With Josephine", but it would be interesting to know.

Can anyone help?
