Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

I think this is from 1978 or earlier.

I still want to doubt that. But, i guess the editor was not fine with the newest Armed Forces and the yet unreleased Get Happy!! songs. Seems he was happy to make it seem like only first two lps existed thusfar.

The first four tracks on this clip - This Year's Girl , Lipstick Vogue, Watching The Detectives and Pump It Up - were released on DVD in 2010. The fifth, final song - You Belong To Me - is exclusive to this clip. They were five of the last six songs of the show, Big Boys, after This Year's Girl, being left out.

The previous day's show , in Holland, is also on youtube .

There's a real contrast between the performances . Light hearted, good humoured one day , stressed and grim the next . That's life on the road.

ba, why do you doubt me?

Don't you know I'm an EC encyclopedia?

I've had this on crappy videotape since 1981, and I had the audio too, as well as the audience tape. French TV broadcast the older stuff in 1979, and a second broadcast in the spring of 1980 included some Get Happy!! songs. Eventually put on on DVD as John says.

Oh no...of course i relent that YOU are correct. Much more precise than me. All i am saying is with those 5 songs...i am left thinking it is pre AF. Even the appearance of band members seem earlier than 1979. But, i am in error, no doubt. I am but a minir leaguer next to you.

BA, you know I’m just kidding. I believe what happened was when Chorus TV wanted to broadcast, they were not allowed in 1979 to show the material that was unreleased at that point (Opportunity, B Movie, High Fidelity...). So the second broadcast was after the release of Get Happy!! and it was okay (even though they didn’t sound like the record).

As far as the look, though, c’mon, Elvis wouldn’t be wearing a red bomber jacket like that in 78, with no tie!
