Punch The Clock in Sweden

Post by Neil. »

Apols if this has already been posted, but I'm drunk.

Elvis looking rather forlorn and fetching in 'Shipbuilding'. 'Invisible Man' is a torrent of fabulous lyrics which might be the reason why he doesn't get more covers - really hard to memorise those words for live gigs!!

- no comment
I remember getting this on a VHS compilation and being stunned by the muscular bass sound Bruce seemed to be getting from his bass- the mix on my VHS must have been doctored as it was never like this in real life performances !
I never saw any TKO shows, one regret of my Costello pursuits, but 1983 was not a great year personally

Yeah, i never got an INVISIBLE MAN live in person. An odd little ditty then and now. Never caught the Ray Davies feel to those words until seeing this. Love that blue guitar...

Always loved the bass to this, one I could do a reasonable facsimile of
Caught it first ( physically and on tape) at St. Austell in 1984 and then at Liverpool and Blackpool in 2013. Always beena favourite - my head is spinning round faster and faster - lovely line with Steve's piano following the melody .
