Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

Re: Elvis on The Joy of 6 (BBC Radio 6), October 14, 2018
This includes an extract (?) from EC's conversation with Mary Anne Hobbs broadcast (in two parts) on 6 October and 7 October.
EC's contribution to this show starts at 13 mins 50 secs and runs until 40 mins, so about 26 minutes worth. He covers the now familiar subject of his father's career, the Hammersmith Palais and Ewan MacColl falling asleep at Elvis' first gig. He also talks about the wait to put "Burnt Sugar Is So Bitter" onto an album.
The Peel Session version of "Pump It Up" is played. AMH mistakenly says that was the only session Elvis ever recorded for the BBC, which is, of course, nonsense. He recorded four Peel sessions, plus a session for Kid Jensen.
Watching The Detectives and Man Out Of Time are also played....
