Two concerts have disappeared from the official websites: https://www.elviscostello.com/#!/events?page=1 and https://concord.com/artist/elvis-costello/
- November 11: cancelled ( https://www.sheas.org/performances/elvi ... imposters/ )
- November 27: cancelled ? (Website not available in Europe)

Are these cancelled to have more rest days?
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

For what it's worth, the venue website still lists the show, and Live Nation is still selling tickets (although quite a few are unsold at this point...).

Well my logic is this...by cancelling both 11/11 & 11/27, there will no longer be THREE show days in a row. Surely, he does not need triple headers on his agenda. Bruce Springsteen did away with this scheduling a LONG time ago i think. and if i am not mistaken, even back to back dates were rare on the latest E Street RIVER tour. It's only sensible...

P.S. i checked...on the entire 2016 tour, Bruce NEVER did TWO nights in a row.

It’s somewhat unusual these days for Elvis to do 3 nights in a row. I know I’ve commented on it in the past. Doing over 2 hours a night for 3 nights in a row is not good for Elvis’ voice.

If he does 3 nights in a row as the opener for the US tour then they’ll probably be shorter shows to get into the rhythm.

Atlantic City may be on the chopping block due to poor ticket sales also.

I agree with the wisdom of limiting it to two nights at a time.

Assuredly!! 90 minutes tops if these three remain!

I can see that, it is a 7,000 seat venue. Defintely be more comp tickets than sales. Good guess Eugene...this indeed might get the ax.

I'd been hoping that by now NYC shows would have been announced. Now, I'm wondering if I should try to score a tic for Asbury Park. (Anyone got a spare?)

Also: Asbury is on Election Day, and I'm gonna need all the distraction I can get....but damn, I hate having to schlep to Jersey!

It’s going to be interesting to see how long the shows will be.

Take it easy Elvis but don’t forget to throw in some surprises (but keep the best ones for the UK tour in 2019  ).

So why would he have scheduled all these multiple-night runs in the first place?

Especially to start the tour, AFTER A SLIGHT BREAK, with three in a row!! He should limit himself to 90 or 100 minutes those first few nights, though i imagine the casinos will help rein him in for length of performance.

If by multiple nights you mean 3 nights in a row then there is only one stint, which is quite early on.

11/9/2018 - Wallingford, CT @ Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre
11/10/2018 - Boston, MA @ Boch Center Wang Theatre
11/11/2018 - Buffalo, NY @ Shea's Performing Arts Center

Besides the November 2 Bethlehem; November 3 Atlantic City; December 4 Washington DC trifecta.

Buffalo was cancelled, like Phoenix.

But Atlantic City and Chicago were added, creating new 3 night runs.

Go figure.

Some strange town/venue choices.

NJ: No Newark or Montclair or Englewood, but TWO shore towns, Atlantic City and Asbury Park
NY: No Manhattan or Brooklyn, but Verona (!)
PA: No Philly or Pittsburgh, but Bethlehem (!)

True.

Anyway, it gets away from my original comment about the length of the shows.
