Really poignant story about Anne-Marie Duff's choice of 'Alison' on Desert Island Discs at 31 min 16 seconds. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09wr9q7

Many years ago, the presenter Kirsty Young worked for Scottish Television and hosted an evening magazine show. They had Elvis in the studio one night and, when he sang "Alison" with his acoustic guitar, I can recall Kirsty closing her eyes in rapture.

I frequently imagine Kirsty Young closing her eyes in rapture - but only in my dreams

Aw, Sulky. Here's the excellent Kirsty clip from way back when - I think the rapture is during Shipbuilding: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vUCUnHLaduE
