The last time EC played the Newport Folk Festival, it was announced in advance that he would be playing solo, but he showed up with the Imposters.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is playing the same day.

That's five days after the show with the Imposters in Northern Ireland , indicating that will be the last date of that tour.

EC retweeted Larkin Poe with the comment "And that's just the beginning."

Besides the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, another possible guest is Taylor Goldsmith, who is playing with another of his bands, Middle Brother.

I'm getting 'not available at your location' when trying to listen to artists earlier in the schedule.

Elvis did a verse of The Old Triangle , just like he did with Glen & others at the Royal Albert Hall in April 2014.

This is what was streamed:

01. Pads, Paws And Claws - with Larkin Poe
02. Love Field - with Larkin Poe
03. Blame It On Cain - with Larkin Poe
04. Clown Strike - with Larkin Poe
05. Sulphur To Sugarcane - with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band
06. Side By Side - with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band
07. A Face In The Crowd - EC solo on piano
08. Brilliant Mistake - with Middle Brother & Larkin Poe
09. Everyday I Write The Book - with Middle Brother & Larkin Poe
10. American Mirror - with Middle Brother & Larkin Poe

And then they cut away to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, so it's not clear how much more Elvis played.

(extract)

Costello’s show, advertised as a solo set, was the least solo show I’ve seen in a long time. (Costello himself joked about it.)

He started accompanied by mandolin and steel guitar, while he played “Blame It On Cain” and “Clown Strike.” Out came the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for “Sulfur to Sugarcane,” which Costello referred to as “a campaign song.”

Preservation Hall stayed on stage for a slow, strangely ominous version of the old standard “Side by Side.” “We don’t know what’s coming tomorrow/ It may be trouble or sorrow,” he sang, and sounded like he meant it.

Costello was joined by Middle Brother — Goldsmith, John McCauley of Rhode Island band Deer Tick, and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit — for classics such as “Every Day I Write The Book” and Nick Lowe’s “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace Love and Understanding.”

Costello had everyone back on stage, including Preservation Hall, for a sweetly harmonized version of an Alison Krauss song, “The Scarlet Tide.”
