Wish list for 2016? That's a no-brainer, innit?....an album (and tour to follow) with the Imposters! Fer Chrissakes, it's been over eight years!!

I, for one, could happily do without any musicals or further Bachrach/McCartney collabs, at least for the near future

I'm waiting for official announcements of:
- the Flowers In The Dirt Archive Collection
- a second New Basement Tapes album or a live album
I' m beginning to fear that those releases are postponed. :(

And couldn't we expect an official press release regarding the musical "A Face In The Crowd" soon?

Was 2016 a good year for the EC fans?

2016 gave us:
  • - Detour, Live at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (DVD / Blu-ray)
    - The continuation of the Detour tour, with the live premiere of a lot of the "A Face In The Crowd" songs
    - The "Imperial Bedroom And Other Chambers" concerts
    - The release date for the "Flowers In The Dirt" reissues with a lot of MacManus / McCartney demos: March 24, 2017
    - The vinyl release of "My Flame Burns Blue" and "Painted From Memory"
    - Besides the live premiere of the "AFITC" songs, also the live premiere of following songs: "They' re Not Laughing At Me Now", "What Is It That I Need, That I Don't Already Have" and "I'll Make The Word Pay" (Costello / Bacharach).
    - The instrumental version of the new Costello / Bacharach song "Look Up Again", released by Herb Alpert.
    - The collaboration with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band
I'm I forgetting something?

How about the post-EU referendum shows with the Impostors which were not the Imperial Bedroom ones.

This was great for us UK fans who haven't seen them for a while.

They were also great for us nonUK fans who travelled to see them. Not so great were the five cancelled european Detour shows - Ihad tickets for two of them.
Looking forward to the shows in 2017.

I managed 5 shows this year;

London Palladium 14th May
Auditorium Teatro Manzoni Bologna 28th May
Palabrescia Brescia 31st May
Colston Hall, Bristol 17th Jul
Beacon Theatre, New York 5th November

I also had tickets for two other shows I messed through work.

All wonderful shows but only met him once this year, before the show at Bristol.

Next year I've a ticket for the Brugge show but not sure if I'll make it yet depending on other commitments. Hopefully I'll add some more nearer the time :)

I managed 7 shows last year:

London Palladium, 10th May
London Palladium, 11th May
London Palladium, 13th May
London Palladium, 14th May
Teatro Monumental, Madrid, 5th June
Roundhouse, London, 6th July
Colston Hall, Bristol, 17th July

The pick of these was the Roundhouse show with The Imposters, just for the variety of the setlist, where there were so many surprises.

I met Elvis only the once, after one of the Palladium shows, when he was ailing. Nice to meet up with fellow forum members and Listers.

I have tickets for the first Antwerp show in March. I would like to see the Imperial Bedroom show, or any other Imposters show in the UK or Europe. Or EC with SN, maybe playing songs from A Face In The Crowd. I have to say that the Detour format may be outstaying its welcome and something new would be very welcome, ideally with other musicians.
