London meet up - Saturday 22nd November

Post by verbal gymnastics »

Yes it's that time again!

A London meet up has been arranged on Saturday 22nd November at the Two Chairmen pub in Trafalgar Square.

And what a line up we have for you...

Johnfoyle
Sulky lad
Sheeptotheslaughter (he came once and he's back for more)
Neil.
So lacklustre
Man out of time
Andy the roofdog
My not so good self...

...and making his debut - Goon Squad.

If that wasn't enough there could be a special guest appearance from Boy with a problem.

Come one come all from 2pm.

Sorry I am looking doubtful for Saturday.

As some will know Mrs Sheep had been out of work a few months and we had decided to 'sweat it out for 30 seconds on home improvements' before she lost her job. So monies a bit tight this week.
I will still try and be there. You never know what may turn up between here and Saturday.

The good news on our side is Mrs Sheep has started a new job. And the following Saturday we would have been able to make it.

I will text VG Saturday to let him know for sure if we can make it. Hope to see you all in the pub

Whilst booking the venue is MOOT's job, if we can't get in the pub then we'll hold it upstairs at my house. If I'm not in then the key's under the mat.

You got to come - I've told everyone you'll be there and you don't want to make me look bad in front of my friends do you?

How could you look bad in front of your friends VG that's impossible?

I am trying my best to be there.

Space booked on the first floor at the front of the pub (where we were last time for those who can remember it). I have asked that they stock up on crisps for the occasion. Hot food available for those who want it. See you there.

Yep, agreed. it was a fun afternoon ( and into the evening ! ).
It was good meeting all the guys, and I found it interesting chatting about "best gigs", and "first gigs", and with all these years playing havoc on my memory it caused me to go up in the loft yesterday to find all my old Elv records with ticket stubs so I could come up with the definitive answer for my first gig !
For all those waiting with baited breath, please see the other "First Elvis gig" thread that I have bumped.............
