COSTELLO AND KRALL TO WED

Loved-up musicians ELVIS COSTELLO and DIANA KRALL are
planning to marry in the next few weeks.

British Costello has posted wedding banns at
MARYLEBONE TOWN HALL, London - meaning the stars will
be able to wed anytime from 29 October (03).

Sources close to the WATCHING THE DETECTIVES
songwriter believe the marriage will take place in the
first half of November (03), and that the couple are
considering posh London hotel CLARIDGES as an
alternative venue.

Jazz star Krall and Costello met at last year's GRAMMY
AWARDS (02), and began dating in November (02),
following Costello's split from his wife of 16 years,
ex-POGUES bassist CAIT O'RIORDAN.

I suppose that's the official statement, although it does appear that things had started before then between EC & Diana. Oh well.

They sure have been in a hurry to get married, it seems.

You're right spooky...

for someone who wrote The Greatest Thing, he certainly seems intent on the authority's bit of paper!

I hope they skip the big to-do, but it is unlikely as he is now wearing designer suits and ties, and she does more of the same.....so, alas, no run down to the City Hall......

This is her first...I think, so a major deal is likely....

I'll raise my glass to the happy couple....

Although 'The Greatest Thing' has its sarcastic moments, he does sing:

"but I won't be told that life with the one you love is sordid, just because some authority says you can't afford it"
"But they can't hold a candle to the reciprical war crimes which have plagued our policy of foriegn affairs."

Why would you want to do it in London and not Canada? More than likely Marylebone will be a distraction while they're off getting married surrounded by leaping salmon and big bears.

They are smart to get married in England- I do believe that EC can get duel citizenship for Ms. Krall by doing it this way. And EC will have automatic priviledges in Canada by this process too. They will have to spend a few bob though getting her entire family over there for the ceremony. Sounds like they are in a hurry. If what is said in Vanity Fair is read between the lines, it sounds like she may be pregnant. Thats the word on the street anyway. Sounds very romantic.

This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

I don't think she's with child - not just yet anyway. Not to say that she won't be soon after they're married, but she just seems like the type that wants to be socially correct enough to marry and then bear a child.

Gossip is gossip!

It is a rumor- I think it would be wonderful if she were. I certainly have no moral issue with it- I think it would be delightful actually and very romantic. Some thought the "cross pollenating" remark reflected she is with child. Mind you, I agree with Blue- she doesn't look pregnant in the least. But some people don't show until a few months along. Whatever, it is fine if she is or if she isn't.

It'd be nice if they have babies. Another little Elvis or a little Elvisina who can actually play the piano.

What street would that be then? Where did the rumours start?

Maybe I'll ask Elvis at Bournemouth! Is anyone else coming? I might need someone to pick me off the floor after Elvis has hit me!

*Ha, that is funny. Maybe Gossip Street or Speculation Street! Just a rumor- it is not written in stone. They are in love so if there is a baby or two that is to be expected. Who knows when or where that will happen or if it has happened already- just chit-chat.
