For those who missed Elvis 'n Steve on Jay Leno's Tonight Show Monday night, I think you can fast forward to the performance from this Tonight Show link of Monday's entire episode. Worth a look. EC gets so choked up in the final verse that he flubs a line . . . But it's "real."

In fact, at the end of the performance as Jay is saying goodnight, you can barely see EC on the far left of the screen animatedly talking to Steve as if to say: "Wow! Sorry I lost my voice there for a second!" It's as if he got caught in a half-swallow or something . . .

Steve is the master, though. Just an amazingly gifted pianist (and composer!)

This was a union of sorts of the opening acts of the Police's last tour. Joe Sumner played bass, who is the lead singer of Fiction Plane, who was the opening act for the first leg of the Police's tour. Then, of course, Costello was the opening act for the second leg.
