Recent Downtime

Hi,

I wanted to let everyone know that the site is really OK in spite of a couple of recent outages. We are having VERY VERY cold weather here and that caused a few power issues locally. On top of that, one day last week, there was an non-weather equipment failure last week at a substation that knocked power out to 1/4 of Huntsville twice in a day. If the power is off less than about 30 minutes, there isn't an issue. If it is off long enough for the UPS battery to drain, the computer will shut down and have to be manually powered up. If this occurs while we are asleep or Christmas shopping, then there is a delay getting things back online.

So no conspiracy, just winter weather and some bad luck on the electricity.
