Should members be allowed to post "sticky" threads

Post by wehitandrun »

This is quite a trusty privelage. I was surprised to see that it was allowed.

Is everybody for it? I have abused it, but with reason.

I think it's ridiculous that someone can use a sticky as their first post. Is there a way to restrict it to people with over 100 posts?
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Has anyone been abusing the sticky privilege of late? And I say "abusing the sticky privilege" with no innuendo whatsoever!

I didnt fully read his post... it was his band he was promoting? Eh, that is kind of cool and all, but not sticky material.

There must be a way to customize the sticky options...

No way to adjust the sticky privilige to people with over 100 posts...you either have it or you don't. We can turn it off for everbody but mods and admins if necessary, but right now I don't think it's being abused all that badly. And Blue'll kill any we don't want...right? :D
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

See how certain posts have a thing that says "sticky" next to it, with a little icon? That's a sticky. All it really means is that it's automatically at the top no matter when the last time someone posted in the thread. It's usually used for announcements

Contrary to how DIM I may appear, I actually did notice the little "sticky" icon.
I just didn't know what it meant.
Around here a "sticky" is a sticky bun~ you know, like from a bakery?

Anyway...thank you, Blue for clearing that up for me.

So what's the big deal about anyone being able to post "a sticky"?
