Re: 'The Return Of The Spectacular Spinning Songbook', Nov.

Review of The Return of the Spectacular Spinning Songbook in The Sunday Times: How much time do bands spend agonising over set lists? Which of the big hits should they put in early, to get the audience up for it? And which should they save for the end? Never one for industry norms, Elvis Costello ch...

Re: 'The Return Of The Spectacular Spinning Songbook', Nov.

Jardine wrote well, personally, at this point, I don't want to be not seen to not want to not buy it, but then again, that I can't afford it, is not why I don't want to not fail to not buy it either. So, in short, yes, and by that, well, yes and no, of course. This is more complex than some of the ...

Re: Ross passes....R.I.P. Mr. MacManus

From the Times Obituary today:

'MacManus was immensely proud of his son's songwriting success and picked out The Birds Will Still Be Singing as a particular favourite. "I'd like that to be my epitaph" he said.'

Rest in peace, Ross.

Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn in IMAX 3D. I was an avid reader of Tintin as a lad and was never happy with the American-accented Tintin of the cartoons at the time when the original was so ultra-European. I hugely enjoyed this, and so did my 11 year old. Rather thrown by a very sniffy Peter Bra...
