Re: Look Now: new album announced!

To top all of these high positions in all the album of the year's best lists, LOOK NOW is at Nr.1 of the critic's choice in the https://www.rollingstone.de And even among the readers, he' at Nr. 4 Yet not online, but it's in the print version. Quite surprisingly to me, since he has always been a cri...

A great romantic love ballad. Perfectly suited to close a great romantic love movie. Which has to be a bit cheesy for tha...

Re: Look Now: new album announced!

Yes, "Under Lime" is such a fantastic song, it's just terrific! And it's so 100 % Costello, no one else in music could write such a miracle of a song. After 500, maybe even 600 songs of his, how is he able to deliver this, being so much of a Costello song and still not coming even a tinies...

Interesting, rewarding show. Fully agree. It was a great evening: Musically focused and confident, in great voice, emotionally endearing the way the biographical anecdotes were told and yet entertaining and joyful as a show. I can hardly remember having seen EC in such a heartfelt and simultaneousl...

Great and amazing stuff you deliver! Don't know whom to give more credit to, Kevin and Jorge for making this excellent choice, or rightbrain, for brightening my understanding of an EC song in a way I've hardly ever experienced. And one proof more for EC's unmatched abilities as a lyricist, just awes...

Sounds like a great concert. Good to see him warming up the Dylan songs for the UK shows... YES, definitely! Among the best gigs of the 14, 15 times that I've seen him since "my first one" in 1989 in an amusement park in the rather small New England town of Berlin CT, then together with t...

Re: 'Sparkling Day' by Elvis on soundtrack for 'One Day' Aug

Well, I know it's going to sound like sacrilege, but I cannot STAND Tom Waits's singing style. He's a brilliant songwriter, but that put-on drunken hobo act, which is not his natural voice, is incredibly irritating - it's as though a down-and-out character from a musical is making album after album...
