WHAR, how big is your list of single greatest albums ever? I can't keep track.

If it were one of the songs on Painted From Memory, it would have been praised as everybody's favorite because of how catchy it is... I'm right with you on that, and I maintain that any of the PFM songs would fit on many of his earlier albums, albeit with slightly different arrangements. (And this ...

I always thought the matches were falling out of her open pocketbook, giving her away, i.e. proof she'd been unfaithful, probably in a Room With No Number, with her ring on a Different Finger.

I will hereby be calling "Alison" "I See You Got A Husband Now" You mean "My Aim Is True", don't you? (wink wink) There's an idea -- someone should compile a list of EC songs whose repeated tag is different than the title. Here's a start: "I'm Not Satisfied" ...

On the new AB reissue, I believe that the parenthetical "Hot Burrito #1" has been dropped entirely, and it is just listed as "I'm Your Toy." In the liner notes, EC makes reference to the fact that they "re-named" the song. I wonder, does one have to get permission to d...

Lost Highway site update

The good news: EC's picture with a dynamic link has been added to the losthighwayrecords.com landing page (two posters to the right of the door).

The bad news: the link goes to the existing official site we've been staring at since North came out.

Baby steps, I tell myself. Any day now.

The original song, as recorded on Gilded Palace Of Sin by the Flying Burrito Brothers, was simply called "Hot Burrito #1". (And the song that comes after it was, and still is, called "Hot Burrito #2". The story I recall is that both were written and recorded pretty fast to meet t...

If the cover is the worst thing about the album, I'll be happy. Actually I think it fits in fine with the rest of the Lost Highway catalog. And as for the purple? Keep in mind that our boy has had a long history of downright garish artwork.

Nope -- actually the song I'm thinking Paul recorded after the Beatles, but let's see what else people come up with. (And John sang Kitten.)

I can understand your frustration. The local Circuit City didn't have them, so I went next door to Best Buy, which had two of each. I'd like to think that I wasn't the first person to get them from that store that day, but I could be wrong.
