Oldham won again! 2-1 against Cheltenham! 7th in League One now. I'm not sure I can take another season of us almost sneaking up through the playoffs, but not quite managing it. Maybe this year will be our year.............

Actually I tend to look at Nick Lowe as being God, and Elvis being Jesus. The analogy doesn't work otherwise.

But I can see where you're coming from!

Goodness knows. Doesn't sound like Chelsea at all. Just sounds like noise, frankly, and not very appealing noise at that!

These aren't available to pre-order from amazon.co.uk yet. Is that because it's slower than the US one, or because they are being released later in the UK?

The most recent CD I got through the letterbox was "Bash" by Billy Bremner. It's OK on first listen. It's got Billy's cover of the EC tune "Shatterproof". Does anyone know if this was written specifically for Billy?

Yep. Old Hammers Pathetic. I thought it was a clever pun on "Oldham Athletic", my team of choice. Obviously not!

Hint to you all - don't pick my players! I picked Dean Ashton, who then broke his ankle for three months. Poor bugger.

For my money, Spike is one of Elvis's best albums. It's a tough call, but it's in my top half dozen. I know the album isn't that cohesive, but it's fifteen great songs. It's good to sit back and listen to. Too many favourites - Satellite, God's Comic, hell, I like them all! Mighty Like a Rose is mor...

Indeed, the only thing that could top it would be news of a duet with his old sparring partner Bonnie Bramlett. God, doesn't Elvis look like an ageing market executive in that photo? Indeed he does. I think he's gone from having geeky computer programmer persona, to losing it in the mid-1990s. Now ...

It's funny, How could I forget (What's So funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding)? Elvis' version is so definitive and such an Elvis classic, I forget that he didn't write it. P.S. There is a great solo, acoustic version of it by Nick Lowe on "The Doings". Though too bad there isn't ...
