Mystery train

Elvis Costello seems now to have performed this 'for the 1st time publicly' at least 4 times since February 2005 - Bristol, Manchester, Tampa and Denver. Has anyone e.g. any version please?

Track 5 - 'Tipitina' at end ...

If you do not wish (I didn't - but I did ...) to fork out for another copy of TDM/have 'Monkey' then I recommend downloading Track 5 for the approx. 38 seconds of Mr Costello verbalizing the word 'Tipitina' ...

Tipitina

It was a real obsessive's pleasure a coupla weeks ago to pay out for 38 seconds of 'Tipitina'. Liked the 'Clarksdale' Sessions anyway, and as some of us have 2 or 3 or 4 versions of Mr Costello albums anyway (and I'm not a fanatic), who's counting. Amongst other people I follow, particularly Mr Dyla...

Almost Blue

'Almost Blue' - for 'A Good Year For The Roses' - on vinyl, or several CDs. For many years this spouse-lady's been very good, and has accompanied me to see Mr Costello in Bristol. Unfortunately we missed 'Mystery Train' here on 12-02-2005, and still cannot find recording of that, or 'Mystery Train' ...

Mystery train

Even a low bit-rate e.g. .mp3 of Mr Costello's Bristol Joe Strummer/train song made available would be gratefully appreciated thanks.

Elvis

I didn't get Presley voice till 1977 - just before he died/I heard Costello ... think Presley had best male pop voice, Eva Cassidy best female ... Costello probably about best living British writer/ pop/rock savant etc etc. (McCartney lost plot).

'Versions' .... rerererereleases

Like many of us , I buy in UK what I can .... too often sometimes, to obtain 'bonus-unreleased' material. Sometimes we are almost encouraged by idiot capitalist plonkers to download via e.g WinMX-Soulseek ... With the ridiculous recent 'The monkey' single release/non-release, it's no wonder that eve...

Elivises

This is a very fine discussion-point to raise, amongst other things comparing originality/ability/media perception, and of course DPAM helped publicise his career initially by using the word Elvis. I have bought/enjoy all I can from both artistes, and it's always nice for me to obtain a Costello ver...
