Argh, too many songs!

1. My Heart Hurts
2. All Men Are Liars
3. What's Shakin' On the Hill
4. When I Write the Book
5. Cruel to be Kind
6. Maureen
7. Heart of the City
8. Rose of England
9. Beast in Me
10. Dose of You (the last minute anyways, which is fantastic).

That'll do, for now.....

Watching it at the moment. It's absolutely fantastic.

But why does Elvis get more like a posh tramp as he gets older? :?

One I don't think has been mentioned; the intro for "How Much I Lied".

Did Steve peform on Elvis' Ugly Things? Thought that was Just EC, Pete Thomas and Nick Lowe. But Spike is at home, and I don't have access to its liner notes.....

I think EC must like that song, wasn't it on Girls, Girls Girls too?

Don't think it's one of the best songs on Trust, but still pretty good. The most rocking thing on there. Apart from Luxembourg, and that's abominable...

I really like The Delivery Man, I think that's the best he's made these past ten years. Country Darkness, Monkey to Man, I dig it. Does remind me of my first couple of weeks at uni though, maybe that's the reason. Agree that River in Reverse wasn't a classic, but it was an album of covers. The most ...

Right, first five that come into my head:

Oliver's Army (yep it's predictable, sorry guys, but it's so freakin' good! reminds me of being very small again :-) )

Alison (ditto)

Country Darkness

God's Comic

Shipbuilding

The Ugly Things is on Surrender to the Rhythm , the best of Brinsley Schwarz, a great 1-disc overview of their career. Probably a better set of songs is this CD of their last two albums , which also has the Ugly Things on. The CDs are worth checking out if you like EC, Nick Lowe, The Rumour and that...

That's really sad. Didn't know EC actually played with a member of Eggs Over Easy.

By the way, has anyone got Eggs Over Easy's only album? What do you think of it?

Aye, sounds enjoyable. Is he touring with a band or solo?

The only other Graham Parker album I have apart from Howlin Wind and Sparks is Heat Treatment, and that's bloomin' awsome. Buy it if you like t'other two.

Don't know who's interested in cricket, but there's only way to find out... I CANNOT BELIEVE they haven't played Monty Panesar, and have played Ashley Giles!! Whywhywhywhywhywhywhywhy etc... The only thing that gets me comparably angry is England playing Geraint Jones instead of Chris Read... Keepin...

In particular, the line:

I just love all the song, so very happy and yet so very very acidic. Too many words in one single song though!

I too only have Howlin' Wind and Squeeze... let me know how you like Heat Treatment! I really like it! The playing seems much tighter that Howlin' Wind. Parker says in the liner notes he thinks it's one of his weaker efforts. Don't know where he gets that idea from. Only listened to it a couple of ...

Hope Shane does better than the clip of him last night on the Pete Doherty docu, mumbling through Dirty Old Town like a washed-up alkie who's lost contact with whatever once made him good. Him and the largely talentless doe-eyed Pete looked like the best advert for abstinence you could hope to see....

The couplet of couplets:

You got something that I want now
I got something I can't hide
I've got too much love for you now
You've got too much pride

Also a nice rocking end to one of EC's most rocking albums.

This should be a tough one:
