Re: New shows added for Nov tour - Stockholm 13th and Malmö

Does anyone know if he has cancelled a concert before and actually giving a postponed concert later at the same venue?

The tour seems amazing at this moment. For how long will Larkin Poe be part of the tour?

Re: Half empty venues vs. ticketprices

Yeah, I'm always curious about Elvis's popularity. In 1994 I went to see him at the Royal Albert Hall, and it definitely wasn't full - but it does appear to be sold out on Wed 23rd May next year. Does that simply mean that the tickets have been sold to lots of different agencies, though? I usually ...

Re: Half empty venues vs. ticketprices

I know he isn't a huge name in many peoples mind (most people here know him by name but can't name a single song) but what I don't understand is lesser or similar names selling out all the time in Copenhagen. Unless its the ticket price thats usually much lower than 200 dollars. What still puzzles m...

Half empty venues vs. ticketprices

Maybe this is discussed elsewhere but the recent reports from EC's solotour and the upcoming concert in Malmö (where I'm going) made me wonder about a few things. - How does EC feel about playing in front of 500 people when there is room for 2.600 (as in Praque)? From the reports he gives it everyth...

Re: Best and worst SOUNDING albums?

The sound of River in Reverse and National Ransom is to muddy for me - like you have to turn the treble up and up.

On the other - as some have said already - King of America and The Delivery Man sounds the best.

Re: New shows added for Nov tour - Stockholm 13th and Malmö

I gotta go the Malmö to wipe out the memory of last summers concert in Copenhagen. Very steep prices though (as in Copehagen which could be the reason why it wasnt sold out), but what can you do?

David Fincher wanted EC-tracks

Reading the press notes for (the excellent) The Social Network, Fincher says that he wanted a few EC-songs in the film. The opening credit sequence was actually made with an angry EC-song in mind but they decided to leave it out for grounds of being too perfect and obvious a choice. A shame though t...

Best Springsteen and Beatles book

This might have been discussed another time around here, but...

Which book about The Beatles and Springsteen should I get? I have never read any books about them and there are way too many to chose from.

Its much easier with EC :)

Re: Elvis and Sugarcanes - Copenhagen, Denmark 5th of July

Well, that was dissapointing. Not that EC didnt give it his best shot, but he was clearly not well excusing a sore throat that made a mark on the concert as a whole. ("We only arrive to cities by boat" and "my voice is arriving with another boat", he said). As always he was very ...

That would be great, John. No doubt it will be much better than The Secrets Songs act they did without EC. In fact, it cannot get worse than that. Fortunately it left my mind a long time ago.
