Michael Ball is extremely uncool, but I think (hope?) he knows it.
He's a West End show singer (and no doubt v. good at it) but he keeps doing 'pop' albums. A recent effort had him 'singing' Rainbow's classic cock rock Since You've Been Gone.
Dear me.

If by 'exceeded bandwidth' you mean 'failed to share' then creating another account is only a temporary fix (and frowned upon big time @ Dime). You really must share back what you take. Also, here isn't the best place to seek enlightenment. Try these: http://btfaq.%20com/ http://wiki...

John Hiatt - Sage Gateshead, 31/10/2007 2 hours of solo Hiatt, accompanying himself on various guitars, with two songs on piano. Played a couple of new songs, which seemed a little too twee and sentimental for this corresondent*, but the rest was grand stuff. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed Mr H...

Richard Thompson Band - Sage (Hall 1) 16th Dec 2007 Awesome! 2 hours of great songs, blistering guitar, and some wit. Highlights were many but, oh the joy when, during a two song solo slot he followed 1952 Vincent Black Lightning with .... Who Knows where the Time Goes !! The band features long time...

Sam Brown - Sage (Hall 2) Gateshead - Wed 3rd Oct 2007 Accompanied herself on keyboard, accoustic guitar, electric guitar, (George Harrison's) ukelele, tambourine & kazoo (though not all at the same time). At the start she was definitely nervous, and hit some bum notes as she concentrated on the...

Even external harddrives can fill up. Data storage is like the M25, it's just not big enough! It's a real conumdrum, 'cos backing up to CD / DVD is no guarantee that in 3 years time you can: a) find that show/track of fond memory; or even b) read the disc. Digital technologists are laughing, as they...

Lloyd Cole - Sage (Hall 2) Gateshead, 23rd Sept 2007

Excellent c. 90 minute, solo set.

Not being too familiar with the ouvre I can't name any of the songs ('cept Perfect Skin) but he was in good humour, if a little croaky.

Along the way he sang 3 Tim Hardin songs.

Despite the protestations of a chap in the nearby Oxfam Shop, who tried to put him off with tales of HMV having devalued the whole experience, £44 Dad was v. pleased with a recent expedition to Fopp, Cambridge - inc. Pogues, Jarvis & Rolling Stones.

Richard Hawley - Sage Gateshead, 17th Sept 2007 Played, I think, 19 songs with a nod to each of his albums, majoring on the new one, of course. The sound was fantastic, with echo, twang, and Joe Meek stylings aplenty. The finale was an almost lullaby version of Hank Williams' I'm so Lonesome I Could...

You Need Loving - the very Willie Dixon song that got Page&Plant in trouble, and if you've heard Marriott's over the top vocal on this version you'll know that Robert must have admired him.

What I've never understood is why Mexican and European immigrants to the US didn't bring their footballs with them?

Is the desire to integrate so strong that they forget how to kick a round ball?
