Re: Elvis Costello 2015 Detour - UK Dates

Just waiting patiently and anxiously for a London, possibly RAH, date to be announced.

Though they keep advertising 'Detour' UK leg as being a 21-date tour. Maybe this is it? Surely EC wouldn't cross out the London market. He did say himself at the Bluesfest show he'll be back there in 2015.

Re: Solo Tour USA March 2015

I wasn't expecting another solo tour so soon. Not complaining though! :)

So, hopefully, when EC said at RAH in October that he will be back there early next year, he actually meant it. Fingers crossed for some Europe dates!

Re: When was your first Elvis gig?

I'm a youngun'. Well, 24 to be precise. I only recently discovered EC's music and my first concert was at RAH in 2012. I saw him again twice in 2013 and twice this year. Obviously now I'm addicted. The sad thing is every one of these attendances I've gone to alone. I don't know anybody that loves EC...

Does anyone know where I can download the deluxe version without having to pay iTunes's outrageous rip off prices? Anywhere cheaper?

Re: "Elvis Costello: Mystery Dance" docu.,BBC repeat 13 Nov.

For UK people, the show is now on BBC Iplayer for a brief period. Going to have a watch this weekend. 2am was a ridiculous time to broadcast it, even if it was a repeat.

Sorry for the short notice , but the longer version of this documentary is being repeated on BBC4 at 2AM today , in about a hour and 40 minutes....!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03gq719 What a horrible time!! Luckily I'm up all night writing a book, so might have it on as motivation. Yeah, tha...

Wow. Jealousy.

What are the chances of this happening in the UK? They seem to be in the US promoting it a lot at the moment. Any chance they will over this side of the pond too? I'd LOVE to see a show like that.

Re: 2014 Wednesday Oct 29th LONDON, ENGLAND, Royal Albert Ha

Am I the only one who LIKES Elvis Costello when he is raw and not sounding like some over rehearsed, manufactured jukebox? I really loved the show regardless of the "flaws". I like the flaws. Elvis has plenty of those and without them he wouldn't have been able to write and perform all the...

Re: UK/European Tour 2015

His Dance Card page on his official website just has a little calendar square with "Jan 2015" on it and it's blank apart from "..........." or whatever. I don't know whether this means shows are going to be announced for then or whether they just do that as standard because 2014'...

Re: 2014 Wednesday Oct 29th LONDON, ENGLAND, Royal Albert Ha

RAH is so gorgeous! Georgie Fame was brilliant! Elvis was brilliant! Loved the new arrangements of Chelsea and The Comedians. And the unexpected Couldn't Call It Unexpected without the mics at the end was a nice touch. It's good seeing so many people sing along to a Mighty Like A Rose song! I attend...

RAH's official website still have a few seats left. DO IT DO IT DO IT. One of us! One of us! :P

I'm leaving work for London shortly. I cannot wait. Walking to RAH in the peeing rain won't be much fun, though. I wonder if there will be any merch - not that I need another EC t-shirt!

I've finally succumbed and got a front row stalls on the side about 10 seats from the stage! With no gig since the summer I can't wait to see the great man again! Even just watching those old snippets on "Anarchy in Manchester" have really got the juices flowing ! Who else is going ? I'm ...

I'M GOING! Got my ticket yesterday morning when I should have been working - I'm sorry but EC gigs are far more important! :P I got front row stalls in the exact same seat I had last year for the spinning songbook, funnily enough. Good view! The official RAH website seem to offer cheaper booking fee...

Re: 2014 Wednesday Oct 29th LONDON, ENGLAND, Royal Albert Ha

Agreed. The ticket prices for this are eye-poppingly high. I wouldn't pay £130 to see a show that probably won't be as long as his other solo shows on tour. I'd just be going to see Elvis. Not interested in anyone else. I'm hoping to get a stalls seat because they're cheaper (still expensive, though...

Amazing some of you guys met him. I wish he'd done more UK gigs this year and maybe a theatre in Kent so I could get the chance. I could only manage Kew and hopefully Bluesfest in October and those are in venues/events where you don't get that chance. EC - PLEASE do a show in Kent so I can see a ful...

So glad I managed to make my way through the hoard of middle class picnicers discussing their banal lives and get to the 'mosh pit' right up front. Actually it probably doesn't matter about queuing outside for so long because if I nab a space near the stage I am, at some point, going to need the loo. The loos are apparently situated right at the back. *shrug* *head explodes* I don't know.

Open to ticket holders from 6pm. What would be a good time to arrive for a decent distance to the stage? 4pm?

Do you reckon there'll be a merch stand?

EXCITED!! :D

What time is everybody arriving? I don't want to wait around all day and get sore feet or a numb bum, but I don't want to arrive too late and be right at the back. Re: Elvis plays Kew The Music, London, July 2014

I caved in and bought a ticket for Kew. Never been keen on general admission gigs, but seeing as there will be no other EC gigs in London this summer I thought bugger it! I've read his solo shows go on for 2.5 hours, but Kew's schedule says he'll be done by 10:15pm. Is that the definite curfew set b...

Starting to think there won't be any more UK show announcements for summer or autumn. Having said that, I don't know how EC's people arrange and announce his touring plans, so I could be wrong. I just wish I could find a decent seat for his RAH gig in October. £50 for up in the gods is a bit too pri...

So you think he may announce more? Hopefully soon. I don't want to wait out, there being no more dates added, go to buy a Kew ticket and them be sold out. The reserved areas (which I would have preferred to get) are already sold out. Come on, Elvis! More UK dates!

Re: UK Tour 2014

Hello. New to the forum. I'm wondering if anyone reckons if any more UK dates will be announced for July, or even November? I was going to go to Kew, but I'd prefer a non-festival date at a seated venue. Will probably buy a ticket for Bluesfest regardless because I love seeing EC at RAH, but waiting...
