Managed to get a ticket yesterday, its a Wednesday on the west coast but figured i would find a way to get there.

81 Elvis shows fr me and this was top 5, on excellent form in his anecdotes. Mexican Divorce and Toledo were special but i have a soft spot for Mr Bacarach. Also Radio Soul full version. In Austin for the show so will aim to report back on events. Lively live scene on 6th Street and some great record shops so a good weekend so far. Its the American Grand Prix so his competition tonight is Stevie Wonder and Ricky Skaggs is also in town

Dashed across from the Town hall after First Aid kit just as everything ended unfortunately. Will be at Austin on Sunday instead. Sounds i missed a good night. ps if you have chance go see First Aid Kit on their tour next year, my first time in the Town Hall, lovely venue for the performance.

I am the First Aid Kit show at the Town Hall the same night, will stop by later and see i i can sneak in if they are still going.

Received an email my SACD is on the way

just had an email from City Winery offering tickets also to the event, Michael Dorf the founder is also on the to be honored list so obviously a few openings still exist.

I am in town that nigh but have tickets for First Aid Kit and will be seeing Elvis in Austin Sunday so will be missing this one.

Obviously many options for the list but a fellow "Geordie" Paddy from Prefab Sprout probably sneaks past our Cheryl!

Unfortunately it does seem a sign of the times, however some like Lloyd Cole for instance seems to manage to work with the "big guys" on his back catalog , fan funded releases and touring. However not an easy time for any artists at this time.

It seemed as the Universal deal fell apart that the vaults were closed. I was looking forward to the RAH orchestral shows in particular. Bowie is getting a decent set of the older material seeing light of day even if they fill up the box sets with some questionable remixes. The EDSEL/Demon releases ...

first eBay copy selling close to $80

great show and managed to get a copy of the Bright Blue Times ( 1 per customer) but still a few available at the end of the show. Only complaint was it seemed 1/3 of the crowd were more interested in chatting than listening

I plan to be there, a real paper ticket this time. Hope i manage to get one of the records
