Interesting Celebs at The Bob Dylan Show Tonight

Just returned from Bob Dylan's show at the Pantages in Hollywood. Also spent a couple hours shopping for music at Amoeba Records. Saw one celebrity at each location:

Amoeba - Omar Rodriquez-Lopez (The Mars Volta)
Bob Dylan Show - Elvis Costello

Alejandro Escovedo

The John Dee Graham, and it's mention of Alejandro Escovedo, reminded me EA's health problems. Does anyone know how he's doing? I know his music primarily through his work with Rank & File and some of his solo stuff, especially 'With These Hands'. Somehow I missed his True Believers days, althog...

Reckoning is an interesting choice. Don't know it. Obviously I should. 'Reckoning is an excellent choice; it's in my REM top 3 along with 'Murmur' and 'Document'. Reckoning includes REM's first hit - So Central Rain - and a number of outstanding songs including 7 Chinese Brothers, Pretty Persuasion...

For me, it has 2 or 3 classics on it, and the rest is pretty mediocre. As I worked my way through the superb...

Good choice. Don't hear much about Shoes anymore. I haven't listened to them in years, but they were in regular rotation on my turntable back in the late 70's/early 80's. Is much of there stuff available on CD?
