Re: "Suffering Face"
Hello Costello-friends.
I got drunk and wrote a very disjointed post about this gorgeous song on my blog. you can read it here if you're into that sort of thing: http://jorgefarah.com/2011/12/18/bedhea ... ring-face/

Nope, you were thinking of Wolk. Trust me on this one.FAVEHOUR wrote:No, I wasn't thinking of Wolk. I distinctly was thinking of GE, played with Dylan, married to Gilda Radner a long time ago, etc. For some reason I had it in my mind that he had died. Weird.

It's still being sold with his name on it, isn't it? Don't tell me it's not within his power to make them stop selling it. I could have drafted a cease and desist letter for him... It really is a copout. All he really did was publicize himself while further guilting his poor completist fans into be...

On second thought, I think she's older than 60, so I edited the post. I was having dinner with her daughter and she came in, saw me and started excitedly telling me about it.
She's the person who hooked me up with those tickets from when EC was coming to Buenos Aires. We know how that worked out

Once upon a time there was a band that had a great adventure … which included a few scrapes from which none of them — neither Drummer, Singer, Keyboard Player, nor Bass Player — should have ever emerged with any dignity or self-righteousness intact. It was a jolly old time — a time when the Singer ...

Not necessarily-- there are a lot of lossless formats. "Downloaded music" doesn't necessarily mean 128kpbs lossy mp3s.jardine wrote:the quality of downloaded stuff on 600 dollar earphones is just unbearable

Indulge me as I repost a comment I posted here on Sep 28, 2011 - It's going to be embarrassing watching this thing being reduced to clear...if good for those of us who will wait to buy! Persuading people to pay some of the outrageous ticket prices that featured for some of the U.S. gigs is one thin...

I actually count four different, recent versions of "Every Day I Write the Book". - The original "rock-lite" arrangement played by The Imposters recently. - The punky version posted by Natasha. - The Sugarcanes arrangement, with the modified chorus. - The solo acoustic version, ...

Elvis gets a mention on the latest edition of Jay Mohr's comedy podcast Mohr stories. He compares him favorably to Trent Reznor, saying that Reznor's cover of U2's "Zoo Station" was bordering on self-parody, while EC breathed a whole new fire into "Mysterious Ways" when he played...

Couldn't Call it Unexpected 4 / Rainbow Connection
I was showing "Couldn't Call it Unexpected" to a friend a few days ago (the Live by Request performance) and she got strangely quiet. I asked her what was wrong, she said "I really like it. It's beautiful. I just... it reminds me of something else... I'm trying to place it." Afte...

Nah. It's a pretty sweet tune. Smokey, propulsive, catchy. To say it has "no hooks" is outright silly.bambooneedle wrote:Go Away has no melody or hooks and is mundane overall.
