Re: Armed Forces 20th Jan 1979
Armed Forces was/is brilliant!
It's the perfect follow up to MAIT and TYM.
The UK Radar fold out packaging is beautiful!
And let's not forget the Live At Hollywood High EP.
Happy birthday AF.

Re: Paying Off The National Ransom - A Video Compilation DVD
Did I say "smoking"?...the Letterman performance is "blistering", the band is on fire, EC is giddy because he's almost passing out from lack of oxygen.
Great work putting all these together, thanks again.

Re: Paying Off The National Ransom - A Video Compilation DVD
A very excellent compilation of TV appearances. Several smoking performances of "National Ransom" as well as many other fine songs from the album. I love the duet with Steven Colbert on the Everly's "All I Have To Do Is Dream" The Late Night With Jimmy Fallon featuring The Roots ...

Didn't realize that this was not available anywhere else.
I walked into a local mall HMV in Montreal back in October and there it was.
No liner notes, just lyrics and one photo.

Re: 100% Album
never did warm up to
- "Hurry Down Doomsday (The Bugs Are Taking Over)" from MLAR
over all I have a hard time considering "The Juliet Letters" and "Il Sogno" as EC albums period.
The rest of the albums I listen to all the way through.

Re: Reissue catalogue in a mess?
I came in late to the Rhino reissues but found all of them at my local used cd shops, it took me a year or so, it was like panning for gold finding one or two every couple of trips. There is no doubt in my mind that the Rhino reissue collection is the best, toss in the 3 Edsel Singles boxes and you'...

I tried and I tried and I'm still mystified...
Can't be done, even at one song per album I go over the 80 minute limit.

Re: Your favorite EC album and why.
