Re: Elvis taking questions on Twitter, June 5 '14

Doesn't EC have a comment from way back along the lines of live bootlegs can be fun but studio boots are the work of bandits and thieves. ( or something akin to that ) ? I always felt he thought that the highly amateur recordings that BA and I amongst others make is nothing like as inflammatory as f...

Can't seem to get to the events but as I'm now definitely going, can you ask Steve for "The Invisible Man", "Talking In The Dark", "Little Triggers" "Green Shirt" .... and so on ! Any of the versions of songs we heard so many times in 1999 would be perfect - o...

Re: EC solo tours 2014 tally: LAST YEAR OF HIS YOUTH

I think you're being a bit optimistic here, BA, I'd be happy if we get more than 250 so I'll settle on 271 . How lucky we are to follow seine who could possibly fulfil our dreams of such a huge numbers of songs . There's no- one on the world currently able to have alive repertoire of this size

It would be excellent to have an official Rockpalast recording of the 1983 TKO show as I've only ever seen it on grainy VHS or low quality DVD.

I saw The Imposters a few times after gigs on 2013 in the UK and badgered them, especially Pete and Steve about doing BTTPunch and in the end I said, it's in 7ths you know and Pete rolled his eyes and Steve smirked - think this was possibly after the great meet and great at Sheffield

Strangers In Amsterdam LP

Of all the old vinyl bootlegs of EC, this is my Holy Grail , though I do have a recording on cassette. Has anyone here ever seen or own a copy ? It has never appeared on eBay or on Discogs and I've never seen a copy at any record fair - and I've attended quite a few I can tell you !

Whoopee looks like a tour straight after my birthday so I know what prezzies I'll want this year too  Really looking forward to seeing Georgie Fame - he used to get muddled in my pre- teen mind with Alan Price (until I developed natured musical taste) and I thought his jazz/pop blend sublime !...

I bought MAIT in Our Price , Kensington High Street in October 1977 , first week at University) and then resisted even after the Roundhouse gig of January 1978 until Get Happy. Re: Article about partners in crime Pete Thomas and Steve Ni

Funny how you rarely see Pete and Steve together pre or post shows. They rarely leave together and Pete tends to be in the company of Davey. Musically of course, they have developed such empathy that it seems telepathic but that must also come from playing with Elvis who doesn't stick to pre- ordain...

Excellent, K , it would explain the Equalisation setting depending on type of tape . I used almost exclusively Aiwa recorders when I first started recording seriously in the late 80s and then moved to a Sony in 1994 which served me well up to minidisc first used for the Bacharach concert in the Roya...

Re: EC/Imposters Caesars AC Sat, Mar 8 2014 09:00 P

Not really sure what you mean, BA. Is there a EQ setting on the Sony itself ? What are you trying to do , copy your cassette version to CD or burn it directly to a PC. I'm afraid I use hi-fi kit to burn cassettes to CDr and then use EAC to mKe wav files . I did the same with minidiscs and it's only ...
