Hiatt is a pretty interesting character. His alt/new wave records like Riding With the King are, to coin a phrase, Brilliant Mistakes. Like a supergroup with Elvis, Joe Jackson, and Graham Parker, the slick blender sound of that record represents a whole that is significantly less than the sum of it...

Re: Little Hands of Concrete?

When in the world did he give handprints for a walk of fame?? He's not on the Hollywood Walk of fame, so what could it be...plus they give out stars, not handprints! :-) Maybe that was when he was in Hollywood for the show in 2002 at the Ford theatre? Very odd, and funny that he used gloves...littl...

I live that line in my cube, with my golden handcuffs tightly secured and my high priced condo waiting for me at home, every day of my life. To all of the yunguns out there: when you come ...

I actually think Hugh Grant -- if he felt free to drop his (usually) likable but inappropriate in an Bondian context romantic comedy mannerisms -- could make a truly interesting Bond. If anyone here has seen him play a bad guy, as he has once or twice, there's a really interesting strain of cruelty...

"What´s the Costello record that a new fan must be apart from...?"

Most definitely his 1994 misdemeanor record in Tallahassee Florida for public urination.

But the 10 year anniversary re-issue is promising.

The alliance with Lost Highway re-enforces the proposition (for me anyway), that he will come through with the promised album of songs recorded in various studios in the southern US. The ensuing "South" could be a perfect companion piece to the chilled yet cozy offerings on "North&quo...
