I think it's a guy thing, Sulky. :)

Although, at the same time I enjoy the "chick flicks" so I can't say much really. :o

And Fast Times, what a great movie. I'm such an 80's gal.

Lapinsjolis: I won't tell you how many times I watched Xanadu. I always tried to make my hair look like Olivia's - from that movie and Grease as well. :)

I mainly love the piano on that one version of Accidents Will Happen, DrJ. It's just so perfect.

The live version of Accidents Will Happen on that one is to die for. I could hit the repeat on that one all day. :)

I was just going to pester you and ask where your picture was, DrJ. :)

Next time, let's see one of you and that cd collection you're always talking about. Or can you not get a collection like in one frame.

Thanks for the report, Poppet. Glad you had a good time. :) I love Sledgehammer - sounds like the stage performance was much like the video. Wouldn't have thought that was possible. Did he also have headless chickens dancing around? I also love In Your Eyes - mostly from the movie Say Anything...

CPunk, I love Raising Arizona. I usually never turn down a chance to watch it! :) I know my husband would go for all the sci-fi flicks like Forbidden Planet and Dawn of the Dead. Although he would also throw in Life of Brian and Animal House. I have a few choices, although you movie intellects will ...

I just bought the reissues of MAIT, IB and ATUB. Of the ones I already had, AF is really good. My two suggestions to you, and I can't decide - really, would have to be All This Useless Beauty or Armed Forces. :) I know others will have different opinions, but that is mine. :)

Poppet - I spent my whole life in Chattanooga until I moved to Huntsville seven years ago, and I still go there frequently.

If you need any info, just let me know.

I think it's great that you two should finally come face to face. It seems by your posts that you already knew each other from some previous life anyway.

Glad it was a pleasant experience for you. :)

What I do know is that the new cd is hot and he sounds like his old self. I'm not as excited about him as I am about Elvis, but still it means a road trip and a concert. His music brings back a lot of fond memories for me from college and when I first met my husband, who is actually a bigger fan tha...

Still, you know, good music. :)

I know This Is Hell irritates some people, but there are days when my life isn't going just as I would like - and I hear that song - and somehow it just fits, you know? :?

The melody is almost happy, despite the words . It's a well-though out contrast.

Oh My God - was that funny or what? I waited for weeks on that when I saw the previews. That was the biggest scream! You liked it too, Poppet? You know, it was especially funny as I have always lived in the South. But I thought he was very kind and appreciative and I think he REALLY enjoyed being th...

And it's nice to see your pic Miss BA. I'd been wondering what you looked like. You're very Parisian! :)

For another Elvis Costello cd. . . . . For a chance to hook up and meet some of the good people from this bo...

Although he already seems like a free spirit. Somehow thinking of an evening at Berkeley on his birthday seems appropriate.

And so do all four of my kids. :)
