Oh I adore Goya.
Did you see the Goya sketches altered in this very way by Jake and Dinos Chapman a few years back for their Insult To Injury exhibit for the Turner prize? Brilliant stuff.

You might be right alexv...though the St Anthony in the desert as a monastic goes that he's tempted by the phantoms of women by Lucifer - why not men as well in a modern interpretation. I think this portrays his will and strength much better than any other version (though I do like Dali's a lot). Ju...

Good stuff...it's great to see the good reception the BBC got for the Beethoven project. These pieces should be free to download forever more - they should belong to everyone. He made those flattering comments about Real, and how he adored them as a kid...which seemed a bit like a 'come and get me'. At the start of the season I thought his squad looked a lot stronger than it has turned out to be - I don't think that new stadium necessarily equals more money for him to spe...

I really like this 'Temptation of St Anthony' by Peter Howson - a Scottish artist who deals with working class masculinity and religion in a lot of his paintings.

I was at OT for the Benfica game, and was impressed by them...they're a Liverpool style team, so I wouldn't be surprised at an upset there. I really liked Geovanni for them...some player. They were unlucky in that game. I agree with Jacko though, Real, Chelsea and Villareal to progress. Anyone else ...

Shakin Stevens in Perth concert shocker!

I was perusing The Scottish Sun (yes, our neds read a different paper to their close cousins, the chavs) today and my eyes were assaulted by an article tarnishing the good name of none other than Shakin Stevens! Shakin' Stevens - for those of you not in the know, he is a Welsh glam rock'n'roller fro...

You'd be surprised at how flexible those are though...if you moan. Amazon US use DHL to ship overseas I think, and they charge a set rate per volume and weight, excluding any insurance (which I doubt they take up)...after that (which isn't that much) they can charge whatever they feel.

Also, just discovered a Canadian band called Fly Pan Am...their self-titled debut is ace!
